Applied evaluation

When evaluating a beer, treat wort separation as one possible source, not a guess. Link the observation to evidence: high roast plus dry finish suggests dark roasted grain; cooked-corn aroma in a pale lager may suggest DMS; sharp astringency can point to tannin extraction, water, or process issues. State what would confirm the inference and what other causes remain plausible.

Test wort separation by tracing one sensory outcome backward.
